India, Rajasthan and the Pushkar camel fair

The crowd in Jaipur is very colorful...
like these elegant ladies back from shopping.
The Palace of the winds designed to let women look at the street without being seen.
Brother and sister are begging with a smile..
this boy sells in the street.
a decorated camel waits for tourists or kids to carry...
Women carry bulky bags while holding hands of their kids.
The Jaipur Lake Palace is out of reach for pedestrians.
at Ganesh Pol a western clad family poses for the photo.
at the Pushkar camel fair, some of the thousands camels are marked with the Aryan cross which inspired Hitler for the Svastika.
These 3 camels lick the salt put on the Ganesha statue
A musician plays with his handmade instrument,
a cobra snake charmer offers a demonstration...
attracting the tribal women who came for the camel fair.
This old woman walks back with her stick...
 to her living shelter.
here a young mother with her son,
then a Shadu with his alms bowl
At night, I was fascinated by the gipsy dancer.
Jodhpur, the blue city with its huge Palace...
where I met this young singer
After the weeding, the groom takes his veiled wife and his family to Ganesha for divine protection
In his Bischnoi village he handmolds pottery.
while his daughter in law cooked some food
In Ranakpur, the over decorated Adinatha Jain Temple.
and a hardworking woman in the Thar desert.
I sailed by the Ghat at Udaipur.
a last shoot at the smiling people of Udaipur with jeans and traditional saris reflecting the change occurring in India
