| but most of them are north of the island on the ice floe |

| with its beautiful icebergs |

| they are majestic |
 |
| don't hesitate to swim |
 |
| or to jump |
 |
| when they smell food... |
 |
| They look agressive |
 |
| this one killed a seal |
 |
| ate it |
 |
| and ran around the boat |
 |
| leaving a bloody stain on the ice |
 |
| we saw a bearded seal on an iceberg |
 |
| A resting bear could smell us.... |
 |
| it starts moving in our direction |
 |
| jumping on its way |
 |
| looking at its reflexion |
 |
| and came near the boat |
 |
| even too close! |
 |
| another day we took the zodiac |
 |
| passing by beautiful glaciers |
 |
| calving in the sea |
 |
| a female walrus posing as the little meermaid.. |
 |
| A huge walrus with its hairy face |
 |
| ready to land on the beach |
 |
| forced us back to the boat |
